Trying something new is easier when you know what to expect. Here is how a first visit to Relax & Restore goes, start to finish.
Before you come
- Book ahead. Reserve online in about a minute, or call or text 435-200-3381.
- Hydrate. Drink a glass or two of water in the hours before your session.
- Eat light. A heavy meal right before a sauna can leave you feeling sluggish.
- Bring a water bottle. You will want water before and after.
When you arrive
We are at 163 N Main St in Richfield. Check in, and we will show you to your private sauna room. The room is yours for the whole session, with no shared benches and no crowded locker room.
During your session
Sessions are 25 minutes. The sauna runs about 115 to 135°F, which is much gentler than a traditional sauna, and you will likely start sweating within the first several minutes. A few tips:
- Choose your light. Use the handheld remote to pick one of 12 chromotherapy colors and set the brightness.
- Get comfortable. Sit back, stretch your legs, and let your shoulders drop.
- Put the phone down. It is one of the few chances in a busy day to have 25 minutes of quiet.
- Listen to your body. If you feel lightheaded or uncomfortable, step out and cool down. There is no prize for toughing it out.
Bringing a guest
Our saunas fit two, so you are welcome to bring someone. A guest can join a single session for $15.
After your session
Drink water, give yourself a few minutes to cool down, and notice how you feel. Most first-timers describe feeling warm, loose, and calm. Many say they sleep especially well that night.
Make it a routine
If you enjoy it, a regular routine is where many people notice the biggest difference. Our Daily Sauna Plan includes a session every day we are open, and a guest can join you free.
General wellness information, not medical advice. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or blood pressure concerns, or take medications, please check with your doctor before your first session.
