Wood interior of a private infrared sauna

How Often Should You Use an Infrared Sauna?

It is one of the questions we hear most, and the honest answer is that it depends on you. Here is how to think about it.

Consistency matters more than intensity

One sauna session feels great. But most of the benefits people talk about, like looser muscles, calmer evenings, and better sleep, tend to show up with a regular routine. A shorter session you enjoy several times a week will usually do more for you than an occasional marathon.

Starting out

If you are new to saunas, start with a couple of sessions in your first week and see how you feel. Our sessions are 25 minutes. If that feels like a lot the first time, it is completely fine to step out early and cool down.

Building a routine

Once you know how your body responds, many people settle into two to four sessions a week. Others make it part of their daily routine, much like a morning walk. There is no single right number, so go with what fits your schedule and leaves you feeling good.

When to come

  • After a workout: a good time to relax sore muscles.
  • After work: a clear line between the workday and your evening.
  • In the evening: many guests find it helps them wind down before bed.

Simple safety tips

  • Drink water before and after every session.
  • Skip alcohol before a sauna.
  • Step out if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell.
  • If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or blood pressure concerns, or take medications, check with your doctor first.

Making daily sessions easy

If you find yourself coming more than twice a week, a membership is usually the better value. The Daily Sauna Plan is $100 a month and includes a 25-minute session every day we are open, with chromotherapy included and a free guest in the sauna. At $35 per single session, it pays for itself in three visits.

Want both? The Daily Sauna + Massage Plan adds a 20-minute zero gravity massage chair session every day, for $150 a month.
