What a Zero Gravity Massage Chair Actually Does

Our Human Touch zero gravity massage chairs are some of the most requested seats in the studio, and first-timers often ask what the fuss is about. Here is what the chair actually does during a 20-minute session.

What "zero gravity" means

The zero gravity position was inspired by the posture astronauts take during launch. The chair reclines until your legs rise above the level of your heart. In that position, your weight spreads evenly across the chair and pressure comes off your spine and lower back. Many people describe it as feeling almost weightless.

4D rollers along your back

Once you are reclined, rollers travel the full length of your back and down to your thighs. The "4D" refers to how the rollers move: up and down, side to side, in and out for depth, and at variable speeds, which is designed to feel more like a therapist's hands than a simple rolling motion.

Compression for arms, shoulders, and hands

Air cells in the chair gently inflate and release around your shoulders, arms, and hands. It is a squeezing, kneading sensation that reaches places a roller cannot.

Heat and massage for calves and feet

Your calves and feet get their own dedicated massage, compression, and heat. For anyone who stands, walks, or hikes all day, this part alone is worth the visit.

Programs for every mood

The chairs offer 38 programs, from gentle and relaxing to deep and focused, plus bend and stretch programs that open up your back and hips. You can choose a program yourself, or ask us for a favorite.

Side by side

We have four chairs, so you can relax next to a friend, a spouse, or your whole crew. It is also half of our Date Night Special: two massages side by side, then 25 minutes together in a private sauna, for $50.

Pricing

A single 20-minute session is $30. If you would like a massage every day, the Daily Massage Plan is $60 a month and includes one session every day we are open.
